The reality of the use of digital technologies at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah from the point of view of faculty members

Abstract

The current study aimed to know the reality of the use of digital technologies at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah from the point of view of faculty members, the study concluded that the reality of the use of digital technologies from the point of view of faculty members was average, as the third axis regarding the reality of digital technologies in the field of scientific research with a level of great availability in the first place, then the first axis regarding the reality of Digital technologies in the field of education with a medium level of availability ranked second, then the second axis related to the reality of digital technologies in the field of community service with a low level of availability in the third rank, then the fourth axis related to the reality of digital technologies in administrative work with a poor level of availability in the fourth and last rank, and the absence of Statistically significant differences between the respondents' responses according to the gender variable, with respect to the four axes of the questionnaire, and the existence of statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members according to the academic degree variable in favor of the sample members of the participating professors and assistant professors compared to the lecturers, teaching assistants and professors, respectively, and the differences came in favor of the professors compared to the teaching assistants, While the results did not show any differences between the responses of the participating professors and the assistant professors, as the difference between their averages was not statistically significant at the level of (0.05). Also, the results did not show any differences between the responses of the lecturers and each of the professors and teaching assistants, as the difference between their averages was not statistically significant at the level of (0.05), And there are statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members according to the variable of experience in favor of the respondents with experience of more than ten years compared to those with experience from 5 years to less than 10 years, and those with experience of 5 years or less, respectively
