The reality of managing corona virus crisis (covid-19) at Al-Azhar University “A field Study”

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the reality of managing the crisis of Corona virus covid-19 in the pre-crisis stages (discovering early warning signals and being ready for the crisis), during the crisis (confronting it and limiting its damage), and after its end (recovering work, learning from the crisis) at Al-Azhar University from the point of view of Faculty members, and the research used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection and was applied to a random sample of faculty members amounting to (287) members. The study recommended the need to create a crisis management unit at the university and its various faculties, to spread awareness of the danger of Corona virus through seminars and workshops, and the need to train university members on procedures for dealing with the crisis, develop alternatives to deal with it during its occurrence and choose the most appropriate, and establish an independent department for e-learning and electronic exams at the University Al-Azhar is equipped with all the necessary capabilities and equipment to facilitate education for beneficiaries during the crisis.
