The effectiveness of an educational unit based on semantic field theory in developing speaking skills for fifth grade pupils of Al-Azhar primary

Abstract

The aim of the research was to reveal the effectiveness of an educational unit based on semantic field theory in developing speaking skills for fifth grade pupils of Al-Azhar primary. A student of the experimental group, represented by the students of the Gunpowder Primary Institute, (29) students of the control group, represented by the students of the Bani Hilal Primary Institute, and both institutes are affiliated to Sohag Al-Azhar District. To achieve the objectives of the research, a list of speaking skills was prepared, a guide for the teacher and a book for the student, and a situational test to measure the performance aspect of speaking skills, The results indicated the effectiveness of the educational unit based on the theory of semantic fields in developing speaking skills, and the research recommended the need to pay attention to linguistic theories, the most prominent of which is the theory of semantic fields, which works to enrich the linguistic output of students, and train teachers to use its strategies and implement its procedures, and the need to pay attention to the performance aspect of teaching speaking skills in particular, and language in general; Making it live and exercise.
