Abstract

The current research aims to identify the mental image of Al-Azhar University as an institution with an organizational dimension that mediates external influences (from outside to inside) and organizational work (from inside to outside). Also, reavealing of the privacy features of Al-AzharUniversity as an institution and giving it a distinctive position. Hence, the extent to which there can be an educational framework for a positive university that includes important key contexts. A body of evidence related to positive mental health practices and positive organizational knowledge and its applications was used. And this is according to five ways of well-being: positive emotions, social participation, establishing relationships, meaning, and achievement, in which each context can be described and a mental picture of it can be formed. The research adopted the descriptive analytical method supported by evidence to answer the research hypotheses. The results showed that the university's age and high standing make it not deviate from the institutional expectations entrusted to it historically, unlike the smaller and inferior universities. Thus, it was possible to reach a mental image mediated by the organizational characteristics of the university [structure / identity / center] in understanding and explaining the pressures from the external environment, and that these organizational characteristics can influence the rationality of its management for the university’s position in the external environment. A positive university framework encompasses the five main aspects of university life: positive education in formal teaching environments, social environments, local community, faculty and administrative work environment, and student residential accommodation. The conclusions and recommendations proposed in the research were discussed.
