Abstract

The study aimed to identify the skills of understanding the intent of the noble hadith which are necessary for the secondary stage students and to design a diagnostic test to indicate their level at  understanding the noble Hadith and  to display the results to measure the level of the student's ability to understand the purposes of the noble hadith.  The researcher used the descriptive analytic method to achieve the objectives of the study. The researcher prepared:   A list of the skills of understanding the intent of the noble hadith and an intentional skills pre-posttest administered to a sample consisting of (56) Al-Azhar secondary institute students who were chosen from the two institutes of Sheikh Abdel Moneim Al-Zamzami for boys, and Juhaina Institute, for boys in Sohag Governorate. The results of the study identified the skills of understanding the intent of the noble hadith among Al-Azhar secondary stage students, which included six main skills for the intentional understanding of the hadith, which are comprehension skills related to (the linguistics of the noble hadith, the skills of narration the noble hadith, the semantics of linguistic hadith skills, the skills of rhetorical semantics of the words of the noble hadith, the analytical comprehension skills of the noble hadith, and the deductive comprehension skills of the noble hadith). The results showed a weakness in the level of students' ability to understand the intentional skills of the noble hadith, and recommended using educational activities accompanying the course of the hadith at the preparatory and secondary stages of Al-Azhar based on teaching students the skills of understanding the intent of the noble hadith.
