Abstract

This research aimed to identify the philosophy of social responsibility from the Islamic educational perspective, and the research used the fundamentalist approach. The research included four main dimensions, namely the first: the dimensions of responsibility in the light of the Islamic educational perception; the second: the philosophy of social responsibility from the Islamic educational perspective; third: manifestations of deficiency and impairment of social responsibility in the individual and the group; fourth, the role of the family in developing social responsibility among its members, and the research results revealed that the concept of social responsibility is a holistic and original concept in Islam, and it has many definitions. It includes several aspects and dimensions: social, psychological, and economic, which are the characteristics and attributes of a socially responsible person. Social responsibility also has characteristics and advantages, including the divine source and goal, the balance between material and spiritual, and its validity for every time and place. The Islamic educational role of the family is great, but this role in the present era has shrunk somewhat, and is no longer in the same position it was before. The reason for this may be due to the difficulties and obstacles facing Egyptian families in performing their societal role.
