Abstract

The current research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a proposed course based on blended learning in developing the concepts of molecular biology among students at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University. The experimentation was administered to a sample consisting of (60) students at Faculty of Education (Cairo), Al-Azhar University. The research sample was divided into two groups: The experimental group (N=30), and the control group (N=30). The research utilized  a test of concepts of molecular biology. After applying the experimental treatment materials to the students of the experimental group and teaching the proposed course according to the usual method for the students of the control group, in the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021 AD, the research instruments were administered before and after the treatment. The results of the research revealed that blended learning contributed to the development of the concepts of molecular biology among students; Whereas, the students of the experimental group excelled in the post application to test concepts of molecular biology after studying the proposed course based on blended learning over the students of the control group who studied in the usual way. The results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed course based on blended learning in developing the concepts of molecular biology.
