The Impact of Hybrid Learning on Improving Self-Efficacy and Developing The Achievement of "Curriculum Foundations" Course of Student Teachers at Women's Faculty, Ain Shams University

Abstract

The current research aimed to determine the impact of hybrid learning on ​​improving self-efficacy and developing the achievement of student teachers at Women's Faculty, Ain Shams University for the content of "Curriculum Foundations"  course.        To achieve this goal the foundations of using hybrid learning in teaching the course were determined, followed by defining the pattern of course teaching according to the hybrid learning method in order to raising the students’ self-efficacy and developing their achievement for the course . then tools for measuring the impact ( self-efficacy scale in its axes "academic efficiency - efficiency of dealing with distance learning tools - interaction in the learning environment" and an achievement test for the course content) were prepared, This was followed by the application of the experiment, which lasted for (11) meetings, each of them lasted for two hours per week, varied between direct meetings in the college and indirect meetings using distance learning applications (WhatsApp and Electronic platform) in the period from mid-October 2020 to mid-January 2021, with a total of (22) hours For the application as a whole, this was followed by the application of impact measurement tools on (60) Fourth year students, Educational Division, Arabic Language Department at the Women's Faculty, Ain Shams University. The results showed an improvement in the level of Students' self-efficacy especially in the axis (dealing with distance learning tools), as well as an improvement in their achievement of the course content .
