The administrative reality of Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in light of the Excellence Management entrance and the requirements for its development

Abstract

The study aimed to develop the administration of Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah in the light of the excellence management approach, and to identify the most important models of its application in university education in contemporary management thought. The study used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool to identify the reality of Umm Al-Qura University management in light of the excellence management approach. The study tool (the questionnaire) was applied to a sample that included (199) among the dean of faculties and their deans, officials of planning and development units, quality officials at the university, and some senior management leaders. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: All the axes of the questionnaire came in terms of the degree of verification at the level of (medium), and the study showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample according to the college variable (practical, theoretical, legal) about the degree of verification of the leadership dimension. creativity, policies, strategies, human resources management, operations management, relationship management, resources, results, and obstacles to the application of Excellence Management at Umm Al-Qura University, while there were significant differences about the degree of achievement of the dimension of focus on students and scientific research and the requirements for applying Excellence Management at Umm Al-Qura University in favor of Sharia colleges. The study was presented in accordance with the main objective of developing the administration of Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah in light of the Excellence Department approach in the form of a set of requirements.
