The Level of Psychological Burnout and Quality of Life among Workers in Nursing Homes in Some Variables

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the level of both psychological burnout and quality of life among caregivers working in nursing homes in the central region in Jordan, and the relationship between them. The sample of the study included (75) workers in nursing homes, distributed over the central governorates in Jordan, and to achieve the objectives of the study two scales have been developed that have appropriate validity and reliability indications: The burnout scale and the quality of life scale. The results indicated that the level of psychological burnout and the quality of life of caregivers were high, and the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean performance of the study members on the scale of psychological burnout due to the gender variable, and the results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mean estimates of the sample members. On the psychological burnout scale due to the educational level variable, in favor of the general secondary educational level or less.
