A proposed conception of a course in digital citizenship for students of the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University

Abstract

The study aimed to develop a proposed conception for a course in digital citizenship for students of the Faculty of Education, Al-AzharUniversity. Digital students and the impact of academic specialization, and it was applied to a random sample of (339) students, from the students of the scientific, literary and qualitative divisions of the fourth year at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University in Cairo, with a percentage of (12%) according to the total number of the community, and the results indicated that there are differences Statistically significant at the level (0.05) between the real and hypothetical average on the digital citizenship scale in favor of the hypothetical average, and consequently the low level of digital citizenship among students. Where there were statistically significant differences between the qualitative and scientific disciplines in favor of the scientific ones; There was also a statistically significant above between qualitative disciplines and literary disciplines in favor of literary; While the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the literary and scientific disciplines, and in light of these results, the researchers prepared a proposed conception for a course in digital citizenship for students of the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University. The research also presented a set of recommendations and suggestions.
