A Suggested Proposal for Developing Technology Inclusion Syllabus in the Learning Environment at King Saud University in Accordance with the (ISTE) Standards

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a proposed vision for the development of the course of integrating technology into learning environments at the College of Education at King Saud University in accordance with the standards of (ISTE) by  evaluating the students registering in the course (242 and the ways to integrate technology into learning environments) by filling out a questionnaire in order to identify the availability of the association’s standards International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in the course Integrating Technology in Learning Environments (242 WSL) (the status-quo). The study also aimed to identify the situation that the students want to have in this course through the same questionnaire, and to achieve the objectives of the study. The researcher used the descriptive approach based on a questionnaire to collect data, and the study population consisted of: all students of the College of Education at King Saud University. The study sample consisted of (96) students who were chosen in a stratified random manner. The study results reveled that there were statistically significant differences between the current and desired situation in the availability of the standards of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in the decision to integrate technology in learning environments (242 WSL). The proposed features were developed according to the standards of the American Society for Educational Technology (ISTE) based on the findings of the study to visualize the proposed course development.
