The Educational Principles for Crisis Management in Ibn Al-Nahawi's Poem "The Reliever (Al-Munfarijah)"

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the educational principles for crisis management related to the faith, worship, ethical, and scientific aspects of the poem of "The Reliever (Al-Munfarijah)", in addition to highlighting the educational methods used by the poet in this poem. The study used the documentary and deductive approaches. Among the main results in this study are the following: the educational principles included in the Al-Munfarijah have a great impact in crises management of all kinds, and that all of these principles have roots in the Holy Quraan and the Prophetic Sunnah, where indications for these principles appeared in a set of Quranic verses and prophetic hadiths. Among the main educational principles for crises management related to the faith and worship aspects in the poem Al-Munfarijah: waiting for relief when crises intensify, feeling the kindness of Allah Almighty in crises, doing a lot of good deeds and keep doing it, repenting of sins and guilt, and resorting to prayer in times of crisis and adversity. The study also showed that the poem of Al-Munfarijah included two principles related to the ethical aspect: Patience in dealing with crises and adversity, and be satisfied with what Allah Almighty has decreed for the believer in terms of adversity and forms of hardship. The study also showed the importance of referring to scientists and specialists when crises occur. The study also showed a variety of educational methods used by the poet, which are: The analogy method, the method of invitation, the method of direct guidance through command, the method of alienation, and the method of role model.
