Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of an educational program, based on the brain-based learning theory, on mental motivation and reducing cognitive failure among primary school students with learning difficulties. The research sample consisted of (24) students with attention difficulties at primary six, they were divided into two groups; experimental group with (11) students, and control group with (13) students, the research tools included an educational program based on the brain-based learning theory in geography, mental motivation scale, cognitive failure scale, all are prepared by the researcher. The researcher also statistically analyzed the data. The results of the research included that: There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the two means ranks scores of the experimental group in the pre and post measurements of mental motivation and cognitive failure reduction for the post measurement. There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the two means ranks scores of experimental and control groups in post measurement of mental motivation and cognitive failure reduction for the experimental group. There are no statistically significant differences between the two means ranks scores of the experimental group in the two post- and follow-up measurements of mental motivation and cognitive failure reduction.
