Abstract

Interpretation of human behavior has gone through three stages i.e., Legendary, metaphysical and scientific. Recent psychological research adopts the scientific approach. Interpretation differs from description. Description clarifies (what happened?) while interpretation clarifies (how or why this happened?). Therefore, interpretation clarifies the psychological meaning of the research results. Interpretation requires assimilation of previous studies, critical thinking and careful analysis for the research problem. Sound interpretation should be methodologically sound, ethical, objective, creative, scientifically sound and well organized according to a certain plane.
