Reality of Strategic Entrepreneurship in the General Administration of Education in the Makkah Region – A Field Study

Abstract

Study aimed to determine the reality ofstrategic entrepreneurship in the General Administration of Education in Makkah region. To achieve this, it's tried to determine the level of availabilityof the dimensions of strategic entrepreneurship in the General Administration of Education in the Makkah region, and to reveal the statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members, which are due to differences in gender, academic qualification, and years of experience. The researchers relied on the descriptive survey method, and designed a questionnaire consisting of (51) items, applied to male and female educational supervisors.  Overall, the results indicated the availability of indicators of strategic entrepreneurship in its five dimensions to a medium degree according to the following order: entrepreneurial mindset, entrepreneurial leadership, entrepreneurial culture, strategic resource management, and creativity and innovation.  Statistically significant differences were found in the responses in favor of those with a bachelor's degree compared to graduate studies, in favor of females compared to males, and in favor of those with less than 5 years of experience compared to those with more experience. The study concluded with a set of requirements to activate the strategic entrepreneurship in the General Administration of Education in the Makkah region.
