PhD program development in Educational Administration Departments in Saudi Universities in Light of The American Experience

Abstract

The study aimed to develop doctoral programs in educational administration departments in Saudi universities in the light of American experience. To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used. The study relied on a questionnaire for collecting data. It was applied to a sample of (192) in universities (King Saud, Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic, Umm Al-Qura, Taibah, King Khalid, and the Islamic University of Madinah, Qassim), and it came to the conclusion that the reality of doctoral programs in educational administration departments in Saudi universities in terms of conditions, funding, and quality is quite different from that of American universities.objectives of admission are the academic plans and courses and their content in the program. From the point of view of the study members, the approval of the methods used for teaching, teaching and learning for faculty members of doctoral programs in educational administration departments in Saudi universities came to a moderate degree, and the study concluded with some appropriate proposals to develop PhD programs in educational administration departments in Saudi universities in the light of American experience.
