The Experience of E-Learning Instruction and Its Correlation with Psychological and Social Pressures among High School Students in Light of the Global Corona Crisis

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the correlation between the sources of psychological and social stress among secondary school students and their correaltion with the experience of distance instruction in light of the global Corona crisis in the schools of Jubail in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study sample consisted of (112) secondary school students in the third year of the secondary school and distributed over 7 schools in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The researcher developed a questionnaire to fulfill the research questions, and of the most important results of the study was the high level of satisfaction of secondary school students about the practice of distance instruction in light of the Corona pandemic, and the high level of psychological pressures that exist among secondary school students, which is negatively reflected on distance education in light of the Corona pandemic. The high level of social pressures that secondary school students are exposed to, which is negatively reflected on distance education in light of the Corona pandemic, and the existence of a statistically significant correlation with the distanant instruction experience and the high level of psychological and social pressures among secondary school students in light of the global Corona crisis.
