Abstract

The study aimed to clarify the role of the Kuwaiti media in raising community awareness in dealing with the Corona virus pandemic, and to present the proposed ways to deepen it. To achieve this goal, the study used the descriptive approach, and relied on a questionnaire in collecting data.    And it was applied to a sample of (317) Kuwaiti youth, distributed according to the variables of gender (males / females) and education level (pre-university / university / above university). The results revealed that the reality of the role of the Kuwaiti media in community awareness in dealing with the Corona Virus pandemic, preventive and curative, came at an average level, and that the approval of the study sample members on the proposed ways to deepen the role of Kuwaiti media in community awareness in dealing with the Corona Virus pandemic, preventive and curative, was high. The results indicated that there were no differences due to the gender variable in the responses of the study sample about the reality of the role of the Kuwaiti media in community awareness of dealing with the Corona virus pandemic, preventive and curative, and ways to deepen it, while there were differences in their responses attributed to the educational level variable in favor of the higher level of post-university education (studies higher) compared to university education and pre-university education.
