A Suggested Proposal of a Training Program for Mathematics Teachers and Parents of Students to Improve Learning Outcomes in Light of the 2030 Vision in Jazan Region

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the status-quo of a suggested proposal of a training program for mathematics teachers and parents of students to improve learning outcomes in the light of 2030 vision in Jazan region. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher made use of the descriptive analytical approach by administering an electronic questionnaire to a sample consisting of (110) mathematics teachers in schools in Jazan region, and it also consisted of (185) parents of students in Jazan region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results of the study revealed that teachers agreed on the standards of quality of teaching performance, and that the status-quo of teachers’ empowerment to study the subject was very high and positive indicating that the teaching experience of most teachers. Thus, teacher chooses modern teaching methods and techniques appropriate to the objectives of the lesson. The proposed vision for organizing the learning and teaching environment was represented by addressing the mental abilities of the students in thinking. This is due to the fact that it requires critical thinking to reach an intellectual production characterized by creativity and innovation. The teachers also agreed on the status-quo of the knowledge gained during participation in training and the ability to solve problems in the light of the Saudi 2030 Vision in Jazan region, especially the role of parents in improving education outcomes. The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the study sample members and their estimates of the status-quo of the suggested proposal of the training program to improve learning outcomes in the light of 2030 Vision in Jazan region from the point of view of teachers and parents, according to the gender variable, educational level, and years of teaching experience.
