Abstract

This study aimed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the mental visualization strategy in correcting the doctrinal concepts among the primary school pupils. A diagnostic test was administered to identify the wrong perceptions about the doctrinal concepts among the third-grade pupils, and the perceptions test for the pre and post doctrinal concepts was administered after implementing the program using the visualization strategy. The study used the descriptive and quasi-experimental methodology and the sample consisted of (40) pupils. The study results revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre-post administration of the treatment in favor of the post-administration. On the one hand, there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control one in the post adminstration of the perception test of the doctrinal concepts in favor of the experimental group. Thus, the mental visualization strategy was effective in correcting the doctrinal concepts of the third graders of Al-Azhar primary pupils.
