The Relationship between Constructing Power and Planning Social Welfare Programs in some Professional Unions: Case Study

Abstract

The current study targeted the effect of power structures in planning, implementing and evaluating social welfare programs in some professional unions. As well as constrcting power in the decision-making process of social welfare programs in some professional unions and trying to come up with a proposed strategy to activate the relationship between the constructions of power and planning for social welfare programs in professional unions. The current study is considered an analytical descriptive study. The researcher made use of a questionnaire form for members of union boards of directors (lawyers, journalists, social professions), the total number was (54) union members, and the current study depends on the case study method. The study results revealed that the most important of which are the effect of power structures in planning, implementing and evaluating social welfare programs at the General Syndicate of Journalists is strong and ranks first, followed by the Bar Association, and that the effect of power structures in the Social Professions Syndicate is weak.
