Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of teaching using the strategies of playing and scientific activities in revealing the level of motivation towards learning among kindergarten children in Jordan. The study sample consisted of (56) boys and girls from kindergarten in Al-Jada Secondary School for Girls. The study sample was divided randomly into three groups (two experiments and a control). The first experimental group consisted of (18) children, who were taught via the playing strategy, and the experimental group was formed. The second group consisted of (19) children, who were taught using the scientific activities strategy, while the third group was the control group and consisted of (19) children and girls, who were taught via the usual method. The study tools included a set of scientific games and activities designed by the researcher, and the measure of motivation towards learning fits with the objectives of this study, and the results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean performance of the three groups (the experimental and the control) in the scale of motivation towards learning in favor of the two experimental groups. The study also showed that there are statistically significant differences between the two experimental groups in favor of the first experimental group who studied via the playing strategy. The study recommended the necessity of teaching using the strategy of playing and scientific activities in kindergarten because it has a positive impact on raising the level of motivation of children towards learning.
