Abstract

 The main Objective is to indent the factors leading to the increase in drug types in the Jordanian society, and also to know type role in increasing the types of drugs, and this study consisted of 94 samples chosen by the intentional method from addiction treatment centers, and it divided into 63 males, 31 females. to achieve the objectives of the study, the social survey method was adopted, and the questionnaire was used as a main tool for data collection. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and percentages. Important of results: The factors of social, legal and medical, cultural and media contributed to the problem of spreading types of drugs to a moderate degree. Synthetic and industrial drugs are among the most prominent types of drugs known in the Jordanian society to a high degree. Spread of drug types contributed to increasing crime rates. Volatile solvents are intended for adolescents and juveniles. The most important recommendation: Forming a special unit that includes human cadres equipped with all, and introducing awareness-raising methods within the curricula on the dangers of drugs, and tightening control over pharmacies, spice shops and psychiatric clinics.
