The Level of Reflective Teaching Skills Practices among Religion Teachers at the Primary Stage and Their Beliefs Towards These Skills

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of sharia female teachers' practices of reflective teaching skills and their believes. The researcher has used the correlational descriptive approach. To meet this end, a list of reflective teaching skills, a scale of reflective teaching skills, and a scale of believes have been prepared. The population of study is composed of all the female teachers of Sharia subjects at the elementary schools at Makkah city. The study targeted the whole population, and the number of respondents were 418 during the first semester of the academic year. The study results showed that the level of Sharia sciences teachers’ practices for the skills of reflective teaching in the focus of planning, implementation and evaluation was high and also showed that the beliefs of the Sharia science teachers towards reflective teaching was greatly accepted upon by participants. There was a significant positive correlation between the teachers believes towards the reflective teaching and the level of practice. There was a one to-one correlation between the two variables.
