Professional Intervention from a Social Service Perspective to Enhance Youth Participation to Achieve Support for Official Anti-corruption Efforts

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the status-quo of youth participation in order to achieve support for official efforts to combat corruption by selecting a sample of young people in the parliament and civil education associative in the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Beheira Governorate to conduct research on them. To achieve this goal, the research stressed deepening participation towards supporting official efforts to combat corruption among community members to achieve the desired goal of the efforts being made by the state, embodying realistic examples that emerged from theoretical and practical philosophies to prove the effectiveness of participation towards supporting those efforts, directing studies and researches to this type of scientific ones that enrich the participation of society members towards support. The study made use of the method of social survey by using an instrument was administered to a sample of (25) young people, through the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the study on youth responses and related to the status-quo of their participation showed that the general mean for the first dimension, which is related to identifying the status-quo of participation among young people, was low as the arithmetic mean was (1.58), while the arithmetic mean for the second dimension related to the obstacles facing young people to achieve support for official efforts to combat corruption was (2.568).
