The Educational efforts of some Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Institutions in Human Building for a Changing World

Abstract

This study aims to present the educational efforts of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in the Human Building for a changing world through some of its educational institutions, including Al-Azhar institutes, Al-Azhar University, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif porticoes. The current research used a fundamental approach to analyze Quranic verses and prophetic hadiths in rooting human Building for the advancement of society. The research also used the historical approach, where the researcher studied the institutions since their inception, objectives, educational structure, and educational programs they adopted to build the Al-Azhar learner according to the Islamic educational perspective. The researcher also described the reality of the educational institutions under study, including their administrations, teachers and educational programs which contributed to building the Al-Azhar learner. 
The research included a general framework that included the introduction, issues, questions, objectives, importance, methodology, and previous studies. The research included three main axes: the first axis presented the foundations of Human Building in Islam, the second axis dealt with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif's vision for Human Building according to the Islamic educational perspective. The third axis dealt with the educational efforts of some Al-Azhar Al-Sharif institutions in the Human Building of a changing world. This axis included the educational efforts of Al-Azhar Institutes, followed by the educational efforts of Al-Azhar University. The axis concludes with the educational efforts of the porticoes of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif for Human Building. 
The research reached several conclusions, the most important of which are:
•    The Al-Azhar institutions under study have made realistic and tangible efforts in Human Building for a changing world, as these institutions strive to provide high-quality education.
•    These institutions also strive to develop students' personality and leadership skills, which enables them to achieve a balance between religious and general sciences and to be creative leaders in their community.
•    The results of the research showed that religious education provided in Al-Azhar institutions contributes to shaping human personality and strengthening Islamic values among students, which enhances their religious awareness.
•    These institutions adopt an inclusive educational vision that focuses on developing students' academic, educational, social, and spiritual skills, to qualify them for facing challenges in a changing and diverse world.
•    The research also revealed that Al-Azhar institutions have a positive impact on society in general, as they contribute to spreading Islamic values and promoting peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and understanding among members of society.
