Abstract

The effectiveness of a program based on the literary anecdotes approach in developing skills Listening among primary school students
   The current research aims to identify the literary anecdotes approach in developing listening skills among second-grade middle school students.
     To achieve this goal, the researchers used the descriptive approach to prepare the theoretical framework, build a listening skills test, and prepare the proposed program for this goal. The experimental approach was also used to identify the effectiveness of the literary anecdotes approach in developing listening skills. The study was applied to a research group of students from Al-Shaheed Seif Al-Nasr Middle School for field application. The basic sample on which the experiment was conducted was (35) students in order to identify the effectiveness of using the literary anecdotes approach in developing their listening skills. The study reached many results, including: the effectiveness of the literary anecdotes approach in developing listening skills at the level of the sub-themes and the total score.  The study also recommended the importance of adopting the approach to literary anecdotes in developing other linguistic skills, including speaking and writing skills.
