Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a program based on collaborative learning in developing awareness of the dimensions of artificial intelligence and its geographical applications among general diploma students in education at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University. The research materials consisted of a list of awareness of the dimensions of artificial intelligence and its geographical applications, the program based on collaborative learning, and a teacher's guide. The research tools were an achievement test for cognitive aspects, an observation card for skill aspects, and a scale of attitudes towards the use of geographical artificial intelligence applications among general diploma students in education (prepared by the researcher). The research sample consisted of (33) postgraduate students enrolled in the general diploma in education, specializing in social studies, at the Faculty of Education in Cairo, Al-Azhar University. The research results showed statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level between the mean scores of the research sample in the two administrations (pre-test and post-test) in favor of the post-test in the achievement test for cognitive aspects, the observation card for skill aspects, and the attitude scale towards artificial intelligence and its geographical applications among general diploma students in education, The results concluded that the program based on collaborative learning was effective in developing awareness of the dimensions of artificial intelligence and its geographical applications among students of the General Diploma in Education at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University.
