Abstract

There are different kinds of models in the various fields of psychology (PMs).
PMs are used for interpreting, and predicting psychological issues in order to build theories.
PMs have two sets of descriptors special and general. Special descriptors stem from the model’s topic and its field. General descriptors are methodological and should be in any model whatever it’s topic or field.
As for the general descriptors each PM should have an objective, makes use of previous literature and empirical factors, is built upon certain postulates and prepositions, simple, testable, communicable, flexible, modifiable and has internal and external validity.
