Abstract

Abstract:
The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Pre-Service Higher Diploma Program in Equipping First-Grade Teachers with the Necessary Teaching Skills, from the Perspectives of School Principals and Educational Supervisors in Jordan. A descriptive survey approach was used for its suitability to the objectives of this study. The study sample consisted of (141) principals and supervisors, randomly selected. The researcher used a questionnaire specifically designed for the purposes of this study. The study was implemented during the (2024/2025) academic year, after verifying the validity and reliability. The results showed that the effectiveness of the pre-service higher diploma program in equipping first-grade teachers with the necessary teaching skills was high, with an overall mean of 3.74 and a standard deviation of 0.18. The study also revealed no statistically significant differences between the opinions of the study sample based on the respondents' perspectives (school principals and educational supervisors). The study recommended that decision-makers at Mutah University include a specialized course in teaching assessment skills and focus on training student teachers in this skill.
