A Proposed Program from the Perspective of General Practice in Social Work to Develop University Students’ Awareness of Preserving Public Property

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the extent of awareness of preserving public property, through testing the cognitive, behavioral and religious awareness of university youth related to preserving public property, and then developing a proposed program from the perspective of general practice in social service to develop university youth’s awareness of preserving public property. This study belongs to the descriptive studies style, and used the descriptive approach using the comprehensive social survey method, and relied on the questionnaire as a tool for the field study, and was applied to fourth-year students at the Faculty of Social Service for Boys in Cairo - Al-Azhar University. The study reached the verification of its research problem, which is the low level of awareness of preserving public property, as the results of the field study revealed: weak responses of the human study community regarding the cognitive awareness of university youth related to preserving public property. The average responses of the human study community regarding the behavioral awareness of university youth related to preserving public property, and the average responses of the human study community regarding the religious awareness of university youth related to preserving public property. The study then proposed a proposed program to develop university youth’s awareness of preserving public property from the perspective of general practice in social Work.
