Abstract
The study aimed to identify the role of social innovation in developing the culture of self-employment among university youth from the perspective of the method of working with groups. This study is a descriptive study. The researcher relied on the descriptive approach using the social survey method with a sample. The study community was determined in the students of the Higher Institute of Social work in Damanhur. The study sample was determined in a simple random sample of students of the Higher Institute of Social work in Damanhur consisting of (386) individuals. The study relied on a questionnaire tool applied to the students. The results of the study confirmed that the role of social innovation in achieving the cognitive dimension of developing the culture of self-employment among university youth, with an arithmetic mean (2.76) and a standard deviation (0.83) and was achieved to a large extent. It was represented in: knowledge of how to build a small project, knowledge of the goals of self-employment in society, knowledge of how to write a CV that clarifies skills and abilities, knowledge of how to find new sources of funding, knowledge of the rules for the success of small projects, knowledge of social marketing methods for the project, knowledge of the importance of self-employment in society, knowledge of electronic sites that support self-employment, and that the role of social innovation in achieving the subjective dimension of developing the culture of self-employment among university youth, with an arithmetic mean (2.60) and a standard deviation of (0.79) and was largely achieved, and was represented in: dealing with all groups in society, the ability to know the strengths and weaknesses of the personality, the ability to work successfully through a team, the ability to face unplanned difficulties, the ability to develop skills in a distinctive way, and that the role of social innovation in achieving the planning dimension to develop the culture of freelancing among university youth, with an arithmetic mean of (2.69) and a standard deviation of (0.81) and was largely achieved, and was represented in: the ability to manage the small project during crises, the ability to market the small project, the ability to conduct a feasibility study for the small project, benefit from specialists to achieve success, the ability to benefit from successful experiences, in addition to the role of social innovation in achieving the marketing dimension to develop the culture of freelancing among university youth, with an arithmetic mean of (2.49) and a standard deviation of (0.77) and was largely achieved, and was represented in: the ability to communicate the idea of the small project to financiers, the ability to communicate the idea of the small project to officials, the ability to conduct intensive advertising for the small project, the ability to provide communication channels with interested customers.
