Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the level of creativity of a specific sample of students in the Department of Art Education - Al-Azhar University. It also aims to enrich the creative imagination through contemporary “Drawing and painting “ of selected Quranic proverbs for a specific sample of students at Al-Azhar University.
The research helps in revealing the possibility of benefiting from new, unfamiliar topics that help students expand their horizons and enrich their creative imagination. Also, benefiting from the educational and practical applications of theories that develop creative imagination in the field of drawing and painting among them.
The current research is limited to: Selections from Quranic proverbs to enrich students' creative imagination, and to create pictorial paintings with various spaces and materials such as Chinese ink, gouache, and oil colors.
The results of the research showed that the topics of Quranic proverbs can be used to enrich students' creative imagination in” Drawing and painting”. This was indicated by the achievement of the first hypothesis of the study, as it was possible to build a scale for the researcher to measure the creative imagination of the research sample members. The second hypothesis of the study was also verified, as the statistical results proved the existence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of students (research sample) in “ Drawing and painting”  before and after applying the research experiment in favor of the post-application.
The research also recommends paying attention to multiple strategies that develop creativity among students, and thus enrich their” Drawing and painting.”  And conducting more studies that reveal the problems of artistic expression for this category from all aspects to know how to develop students' artistic expressions.
The research also calls for more research on ways to enrich students' artistic expression, and how to create new images in expressions by proposing many units and proposed topics to develop and enrich it.
