A proposed Ethical Framework for Using Artificial Intelligence Applications in the viewpoint of Experts and Specialists

Abstract

The current research aimed to reach a proposed ethical framework for using artificial intelligence applications in the viewpoint of experts and specialists. The current research was an attempt to answer the following main research question: What are the features of the proposed ethical framework for using artificial intelligence applications in the viewpoint of experts and specialists, and what are the requirements for its inclusion? To attain the purpose of the study, the researcher utilized the descriptive method procedures to identify the ethics and risks of artificial intelligence applications, and how to develop an ethical framework for the use of artificial intelligence applications, in addition to determining the necessary requirements for its integration. Data were collected through a questionnaire that applied to a sample of experts and specialists in some Egyptian universities. To statistically analyze the obtained data, (SPSS) program was used. The research included three axes: the general framework of the research, the theoretical framework, and the proposed ethical framework for using artificial intelligence applications in the viewpoint of experts and specialists. The research concluded that the features (dimensions) of the proposed ethical framework for using artificial intelligence applications in the viewpoint of experts and specialists, which included eleven dimensions as follows: (awareness, building trust, transparency, individual, institutional, and intellectual ownership, achieving integrity and justice, individual privacy, interpretability and explanation, accountability, clean environment, legislating systems, trust in artificial intelligence)  and identifying the requirements for integrating the ethical framework for using artificial intelligence applications.
