Abstract

The research aimed to measure the effect of the interaction between the density of embedded questions (low-high) and the timing of presentation (during- end) interactive video via a digital platform on the development of achievement, educational satisfaction, and retention of learning effects among educational technology students. The sample comprised 76 students from the Department of Educational Technology at Fayoum University, randomly selected and divided into four experimental groups. The achievement test and the educational satisfaction scale were used as research tools. Results indicated no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental groups in the post-achievement test and the delayed test, attributed to the density of embedded questions in interactive video. However, results showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental groups in the post-achievement test and the delayed test, attributed to the timing of the question presentation, favoring the embedded questions style (during) interactive video. Results indicated no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental groups in the post-test and the delayed test due to the interaction between embedded questions and the timing of the presentation. Furthermore, the findings showed that the density of embedded questions or the presentation timing had no discernible effect on the mean scores of the experimental groups on the educational satisfaction scale post-test. The results also demonstrated no statistically significant differences in the educational satisfaction scale post-test due to the interaction between the density of embedded questions and the presentation timing.
