Abstract

The current research aimed at exploring the relationship between dark triad personality ,psychological entitlement and academic misconduct among university students, the possibility of predicting psychological entitlement and academic misconduct through dark triad personality, and investigating differences in dark triad personality, psychological entitlement and academic misconduct according to gender and academic specialization, and the participants were (439) male and female students (240 students, 199 female students from Al-Azhar University, The research tools included Dark Triad Personality Scale (Translated by the researcher), Psychological Entitlement Scale (Translated by the researcher), and Academic Misconduct Scale (prepared by the researcher). The results reveled that there was a statistically significant positive relationship at level of (0.01) between Dark Triad personality and Active entitlement and revenged entitlement, and between psychopathy and negative entitlement, there was a positive, statistically significant relationship at level of (0.01) between dark triad personality and academic misconduct, the results also revealed the possibility of predicting the dimensions of psychological entitlement and academic misconduct through some dimensions of dark triad personality and the total drgree. Additionally, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences in dark triad personality, psychological entitlement and academic misconduct according to gender (males - females) in favor of males, while there were no statistically significant differences in Dark triad personality, psychological entitlement, and academic misconduct according to academic specialization (scientific - literary) among university students..
