Values in the Poetry of Muhyiddin Ibn Al Arabi and their Educational Applications

Abstract

          The research aims to uncover the values in the poetry of Muhyyi Al-Din Ibn AL Arabi and to identify educational applications that can contribute to enriching positive values in society and its educational institutions. The study introduces Ibn Al Arabi, his poetry, and his literary and intellectual significance as a prominent figure in Sufi thought. The research employs a descriptive-analytical method to reveal the values in Ibn Al Arabi’s poetry, highlighting poetic passages that contain Islamic values, explaining their meanings, and identifying the values they encompass. A strong connection was found between these values and the texts of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH). The study also proposes some educational applications that can be utilized at various educational institutions. Additionally, some recommendations are provided to help instill these values through educational institutions such as media, cultural centers, and social clubs. The study also suggests titles for complementary studies that support the exploration of values among Muslim scholars and their educational applications, as well as further studies on Ibn Al Arabi covering his encyclopedic and diverse works, which exceed five hundred titles.
