Abstract

The study aimed to answer the following two questions: What is the degree to which school leaders achieve sustainable green school practices from the point of view of the study sample? Does the degree to which school leaders achieve sustainable green school practices differ from the point of view of the study sample depending on the variables: gender, job, and years of experience? The study followed the descriptive survey method, as a questionnaire was designed that consisted of (20) items, distributed over four areas. The sample consisted of (306) individuals working in schools (educational leaders and teachers), and the results revealed a moderate role for educational leaders in achieving a sustainable green school, There were also no statistically significant differences due to the variables of the independent study, and it recommended the necessity of adopting the idea of the green school in the vision and goals of the Ministry of Education, and embodying it in the learning environment. Building bridges of relationship and partnership with the local community to consolidate the idea of green schools. Creating a learning environment and organizational culture that supports green school practices and sustainable development. Holding training courses for school leaders on green school practices and ways to consolidate them. Conducting future studies on the opportunities and challenges of adopting the green school experience in the Kuwaiti environment.
