Educational Contents in Surat Al-Kahf and Their Applications in Raising the Individual to Face the Life Temptations

Abstract

The research aimed to identify some of the educational contents in Surat Al-Kahf, and to determine its educational applications in raising the individual to face the life temptations mentioned in the same surah. Besides, the research used the descriptive and inferential designs so that the researcher to reveal the educational contents derived from Surat Al-Kahf, and their importance in confronting many life problems; especially, the life`s temptations mentioned in Surat Al-Kahf. Moreover, the research presented a set of educational applications benefited from the Quranic education in Surat Al-Kahf, through which life`s temptations can be confronted, which were represented in (the temptation of religion, the temptation of money, the temptation of Satan, the temptation of knowledge, and the temptation of power). Accordingly, the research results revealed that the individual can face these life temptations through some educational contents in Surat Al-Kahf. These educational contents were manifested in: faith and trust in Allah and adherence to values, seeking knowledge and broadening the individual horizon, patience and steadfastness, thinking and contemplating the consequences, and the importance of teamwork.
