Abstract

This study aimed to develop a methodological framework to determine the quantitative and qualitative growth and estimate the needs for faculty members in military colleges. The study identified a problem in the necessity of having a methodology that includes tools and models to organize the recruitment, retention, and development of faculty members. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher reviewed relevant literature and, in light of this, developed a methodological framework for the quantitative and qualitative growth needs of faculty members through several proposed tools and models: 1. Models for Determining Quantitative Growth Rates: Determining the growth rates of faculty members: by specialization, field, and attrition, Determining the growth rates of students: including new, enrolled, and graduating students, and establishing a faculty-to-student ratio, and Estimating the colleges' needs for faculty members: using prediction equations. 2. Proposed Analytical Tools: Time series analysis, Graphical representations, and Quantitative prediction model: using the statistical software Curve Expert. 3. Models for Determining Qualitative Growth and Professional Development Needs for faculty members in military colleges. These models and tools were applied hypothetically to illustrate their usage and analysis due to the difficulty of obtaining data from military colleges because of their confidentiality. The study provided several recommendations aimed at improving the quantitative and qualitative growth of faculty members in military higher education institutions.
