The Role of Faculty Members in the Departments of Curricula and Teaching Methods in Colleges of Education in Saudi Universities in Supporting Innovation in Educational Research

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of faculty members in the departments of curricula and teaching methods in colleges of education at Saudi universities in supporting innovation in educational research. The study sample consisted of 200 members, and the study tool was a questionnaire consisting of (60) statements divided into six areas that were controlled for their validity. And its stability, and the descriptive survey method was used, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The results of the study showed that faculty practices have an effective role in supporting innovation in educational research. The general arithmetic means for the phrases in this area was (4.37), and revealed the effective role of faculty members in supporting innovation in educational research. The general arithmetic mean for the phrases in this area was (4.53), and it also showed the importance of the role of faculty members in evaluating and following up on their students. The general arithmetic mean for the phrases in this area was (3.93), and it also revealed the role of the personal characteristics of faculty members in supporting innovation in educational research. The general arithmetic mean for the expressions of this area was (4.43), and it also revealed the challenges facing faculty members in colleges of education in Saudi universities in supporting innovation in educational research. The general arithmetic mean of the area phrases was (3.71), and some proposals were presented to develop the role of faculty members in the departments of curricula and teaching methods in colleges of education at Saudi universities to support innovation in educational research. The general arithmetic mean for the expressions of this area was (4.73).
