The Effectiveness of a developed Unit in Chemistry based on the integrative approach in Developing Soft Skills among first year Secondary School Female Students

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a developed unit in chemistry based on the integrative approach in developing soft skills among female students in the first year of secondary school, The study followed the experimental approach, and the study sample consisted of (43) female students in the school (third secondary school), divided into two groups: Control, number (20) students, and experimental, number (23) students, the study tool represented by the soft skills scale was applied to them, after ensuring its validity and reliability, The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) in the post-application of the soft skills scale, in the total score, and in the sub-skills (Critical thinking and problem solving, Working within a team, Decision-making, Time management, and Adherence to dialogue etiquette) favor experimental group, The size of the effect was large in all skills (combined and individually), in light of these results, the study presented several recommendations, the most important of which are: Activating teaching strategies based on the integrative approach to the education process, and providing a rich classroom environment that is attractive and supportive of the use of soft skills, and Inclusion teacher preparation programs teaching strategies based on the integrative approach, and practice it practically in field training.
