Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of electronic educational games in developing creative writing skills (originality - fluency - flexibility - problem solving - accuracy of details) among female students in the second intermediate year in the My Eternal Language course. To achieve this goal, the study resorted to an experimental approach with a design based on... Two groups (control and experimental), where a purposive sample of (40) female students was selected from the second intermediate year, and they were divided into two groups: a control group consisting of (20) female students studying the My Eternal Language course in the usual way, and an experimental group consisting of (20) studying My Eternal Language course using electronic educational games. The study used a creative writing test and a learning environment based on electronic educational games as tools for experimentation and data collection. The results showed the effectiveness of electronic educational games in developing creative writing skills among female students. It became clear that there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the female students of the study sample in the pre- and post-applications of the creative writing test among second-year intermediate female students in the My Immortal Language course. In light of these results, the study recommended the necessity of teachers relying on electronic educational games in teaching various courses for all academic levels.
