A program based on cognitive-behavioral therapy to mitigate the negative effects of cyberbullying and its impact on psychological security among university students

Abstract

A program based on cognitive-behavioral therapy to mitigate the negative effects of cyberbullying on psychological security among university students, and it aimed to know the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral program used in reducing the negative effects of cyberbullying among university students, knowing the extent to which psychological security improves according to reducing the negative effects of cyberbullying, and the basic research sample consisted of (20) students divided into two groups (10) as an experimental group and (10) as a control group The researcher used the scale of cyberbullying (prepared by / researcher) and the scale of psychological security (prepared / Naissa 2014) and the cognitive-behavioral program (prepared / researcher), the results of the research resulted in the following:
- There are statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the degrees of the pre- and post-measurements of the experimental group on the cyberbullying scale in the direction of the post-measurement.
- There are statistically significant differences between the average grades of the experimental and control groups in the telemetry on the cyberbullying scale in favor of the experimental group.
- There were no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the degrees of the dimensional and fatigue measurements of the experimental group on the cyberbullying scale.
- There are statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the degrees of the pre- and post-measurements of the experimental group on the psychological security scale in the direction of the post-measurement.
- There are statistically significant differences between the average grades of the experimental and control groups in the dimensional measurement on the psychological security scale in favor of the experimental group.
-  There were no statistically significant differences between the average grades of the dimensional and mobilization scores of the experimental group on the psychological security scale.
