Leadership Values in the Holy Quran and Their Educational Applications in the Family to Confront the Challenges of the Digital Age

Abstract

The study aimed to derive some leadership values from the Holy Quran and their educational applications in the family to confront the challenges of the digital age. To achieve this goal, both the fundamental and descriptive methodologies were employed. The study comprised a general framework including its introduction, problem statement, questions, objectives, significance, methodology, and relevant previous studies. It then addressed three main dimensions: presenting the conceptual framework of leadership values as reflected in educational literature and previous studies, highlighting the prominent leadership values derived from the Holy Quran, and identifying the prominent educational applications of leadership values derived from the Holy Quran in the family to confront the challenges of the digital age. Among the prominent values derived from the study were justice, consultation, moderation, tolerance, dialogue, respect, social responsibility, and trustworthiness. Among the prominent educational applications of leadership values derived towards the family were instilling the ethics of protecting and managing wealth in children's behaviour, promoting wise consumption of financial resources, encouraging righteous work, emphasizing excellence and completion of work, using motivation in dealing with children, instilling the concepts of unity and leadership, disseminating a culture of criticism and dialogue within the family, not isolating children from technology but providing proper guidance for its use, and promoting digital citizenship among children.
