A Proposed Teaching Methods Course to Develop Teaching skills for Postgraduate Students in the Extension Program in King Abdulaziz University

Abstract

The current research aimed to set up a proposed Teaching Methods Course For developing teaching skills for postgraduate female students in the extension program at College of Education - King Abdulaziz University, and to identify the effectiveness of the proposed course to develop the teaching skills. The research tools were prepared, which are: Teaching skills test (cognitive and performance domain); to identify the extent of the effectiveness of the proposed course in developing teaching skills.
The research results showed a positive impact of the proposed course which is titled: (Applications in Teaching Methods) to develop postgraduate female students’ teaching skills in the extension program at College of Education. In the light of the research results, a set of recommendations were proposed related to taking the proposed framework of the course as one of the main and necessary courses in the extension program for its positive impact on developing teaching skills among students.
