Abstract

The study aimed to identify the distinctive factor structure of the nature of the relationship between neuro-linguistic programming skills and the dimensions of creative behavior among university faculty members. The study sample consisted of (418) faculty members in some colleges affiliated with Al-Azhar University, with (190) males, (228) females, The Neuro-Linguistic Programming Skills Scale (prepared by the researcher) and the Creative Behavior Scale (prepared by the researcher) were applied to them, and their validity and reliability were verified. The results reached: There is a direct, statistically significant relationship between Neuro-Linguistic Programming skills (thinking, perception, problem solving, belief) , human relations, representational systems) and the dimensions of creative behavior (sensitivity to problems, flexibility, originality, risk-taking and the spirit of risk), and the total score, where the values of the correlation coefficients ranged between (0.864, 0.116), and were statistically significant at a level ranging between (0, 01- 0.05), as it was revealed that there is a distinct factorial relationship to the nature of the relationship between NLP skills and dimensions of creative behavior. Factor analysis using the principal components method of the study sample’s responses on the two scales of NLP skills and creative behavior resulted in saturation of the six NLP skills and dimensions. The four levels of creative behavior included one factor called the “Creative Neuro-Linguistic Programming Skills Factor,” where the saturation values were high, ranging between (0.654 for the risk dimension and the spirit of risk-taking; 0.930 for the representational systems skill), and the percentage of factorial variance was (62.708%). The results resulted in the contribution of the total score of NLP skills in predicting the total score of creative behavior. It also became clear that creative behavior can be predicted from NLP skills with the exception of the perception variable, which did not contribute significantly. Statistically in predicting creative behavior.
