Abstract

The current study deals with the Arabic digital intellectual production about the Roma (Gypsy) that is available on the World Wide Web of Information (the Internet). This aims to explore the case of Arab intellectual production about the Roma, which can be freely accessed without any restrictions or conditions. The study relied on a survey method, and the Internet was used as the main tool for searching for articles through various search engines. The study found that Arab intellectual production about the Roma available on the World Wide Web suffers from severe weakness due to the lack of published articles; this is consistent with the general weakness suffered by the Arabic content in general presented through the global information network. The study recommended that there is a need to examine the objective trends of electronic articles published about Roma, this helps researchers identify it, review its contents, publish new things in the field of Romani studies, and review what is available.
