Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the level of psychological well-being among special education students at the Faculty of Basic Education, considering various variables such as gender, specialization, cumulative GPA, age, academic year, and social status. The research sample comprised 322 randomly selected students. The Psychological Well-Being Scale, developed by Ryff (1989) and translated by Al-Anzi (2022), was administered to the participants. The results revealed that the psychological well-being level among special education students at the Faculty of Basic Education was high across all dimensions of the psychological well-being scale. Positive relationships ranked highest, while independence ranked lowest. Additionally, the findings indicated no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological well-being based on gender, age, specialization, and academic year. However, significant differences were observed in the level of psychological well-being concerning the social status variable, favoring married students. Furthermore, statistically significant differences in the level of psychological well-being were found concerning the cumulative GPA variable, favoring specific GPA categories (Excellent, Very Good, and Good) among male students.
